About Chantal
My name is Chantal Lavanya van Rossum, and I am proud to represent both my Dutch and Malaysian heritage. From a young age, I have been passionate about culture and connecting people starting with performing traditional dance for the Malaysian Embassy in the Netherlands and continuing through various cultural events that celebrate our traditions. As Miss Heritage Netherlands, I aim to inspire others, celebrate diversity, and promote my cultural roots. Being part of Heritage Pageants is an opportunity to share my story, connect cultures, and make a positive impact in the world.
Achievements
- I have been involved in various cultural projects in the Netherlands, where I actively promoted diversity and heritage through different initiatives. I also lived in Dubai for almost one year to pursue Cambridge English studies, which helped me develop strong communication and international skills. In Malaysia, I gained valuable experience working at a boys’ and girls’ home, where I supported the community and contributed to youth development. For the Embassy of Malaysia in the Netherlands, I have been actively involved from a young age starting as a dancer at official occasions and now contributing to events that highlight and preserve Malaysian traditions and culture.
